“FACT: 95% of all Self-Defense situations end up on the ground or in the grappling range… Grappling is the most neglected range of self-defense in most martial art systems.”

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is known for being the single most effective martial art in the world. Focusing on the principles of leverage instead of speed and strength this allows the person with the least amount of capabilities to subdue a larger and stronger opponent. Very often, the rulers themselves were great fighters: Strong, valiant and skilled in the art. As a result, the Thais have consistently proven their dominance on the battlefield against foreign armies. Thai Boxing matches allow the use of punches, kicks, elbows, knees and standup grappling. Thai training methods develop devastating power, speed and superb cardiovascular endurance in a safe setting, thanks to the use of sophisticated training methods.
